Black and White Wedding Photography

I’m a highly experienced wedding photographer / wedding photojournalist based in Manchester though I shoot weddings throughout the Uk.

As a modern wedding photographer who uses a reportage / photojournalistic style many of my images are about capturing the emotions of the day as they happen. This approach often lends itself to offering a good mix of colour as well as classical black and white images which allow the viewer to focus purely on the emotion within the image.

am happy to offer a free, no-obligation, home consultation in Manchester, Cheshire or anywhere within a 1 hour drive. Alternatively if you live further away a phone chat can serve the same purpose - please either contact me direct on 07837 638947 to check my availability or email me.

Benefits of black and white photography:

Colour can be used to convey the vibrance energy and joy of the day. However, I think that sometimes color can get in the way of the “meaning” of a photograph. I find myself wondering whether color is being photographed for itself. Black and white has some artistic and emotional qualities that are just not possible to achieve in color photography. B&W forces the viewer to look at the message the photo conveys the story and emotion behind the image. Black and white almost always invites the viewer to want to know about the story behind the picture. Along with the emotional power and the way black and white compels the viewer to search for meaning, black and white carries with it a tremendous romantic power that touches the heart in a powerful way

As my wedding photography tells stories with emotional impact this means black and white lends itself to be used in a good selection of the shots.
